2016 Audits of Employee Benefit Plans Conference

The Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) CPE Foundation is hosting a one-day conference June 27 in San Antonio, TX for eight hours of CPE credit. Ascende, an EPIC Company retirement director Rob Massa is delivering Investments for Auditors: A Practical Walk-Through at 2:25 p.m., right after the second break.

His presentation will teach participants to identify investment types to determine what financial statement presentation and disclosures are required under the new reporting standards. The presentation will also examine mutual funds, pooled separate accounts, common collective trust funds, and investment contracts.

Participants will become familiar with which investments are in a plan and determine what financial statement presentation and disclosures are required. They’ll also review investment statements, Form 5500, and other plan documents, and get a walk-through of illustrated financial statements and investment-related disclosures.
