Ascende recognizes the challenges that multinational organizations face in the deployment and management of a global workforce. In order to support these organizations in developing reward strategies that confidently meet global HR standards, and respond to local competitive and regulatory requirements, we launched a global solutions practice in 2007.
We have a dedicated team of specialists with capabilities to provide services supporting U.S. expatriates, third country nationals, international rotators and local nationals. We have extensive experience advising on clients' international assignee workforces, ranging in size from startup operations with two expatriates to global operations with hundreds of international assignees. The knowledge gained from collaborating with such diverse clientele gives us insight into the day-to-day issues that an organization may face when trying to manage employee benefit programs on a global scale and allows us to deliver tailored solutions to mitigate business risk.
Our in-house expertise on international employee benefit issues is rare within the industry. Deploying these resources while working side-by-side with domestic health and welfare, retirement, communications and various other in-house teams, allows us to provide our clients with an enhanced approach towards benefit strategy and design.
Additionally, as an affiliate of the Worldwide Broker Network (WBN), we have direct access to over 15,000 insurance and employee benefit specialists in almost 90 countries worldwide. This access, coupled with our team of expert's global consulting capabilities, uniquely positions us to support multinational clients on employee benefit issues related to local national employees, as well as international assignees.
Our international human resources capabilities include, but are not limited to:
We believe that companies must understand the global trends and the competitive environment to successfully align their employee programs with the needs and expectations of the workforce and business objectives. In 2008, Ascende launched the Global Employee Benefit Plan Survey to measure benefit practices and human resource trends for U.S. expatriates, third country nationals, key local nationals and temporary assignees to the U.S. (inpatriates).
